Community News

The Inarajan Municipal Planning Council is proposing to submit a resolution to change "Inarajan” back to its historic name “Inalahan”.  Residents are invited to a community meeting on Wednesday, 7 p.m., October 12, 2011 at the Inarajan Mayor’s Office to present their views and thoughts on the proposal.

 

The IMPC’s 11h Annual Spooktacular Treat is scheduled for Monday, October 31, 2011 starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Gef Pa’go Pavilion.  Cash prizes for the most scariest, most original, and most funniest entrants will be awarded that evening.  Treats & refreshments are also provided.  Donations are always appreciated.

 

Residents or organizations who wish to schedule a tour of the Layon Landfill should call 828-5263 for arrangements.

 

Pet owners are advise to secure their pets at all times.  Complaints of vicious dogs threatening walkers, joggers, and the general public are being reported to Animal   Control and are registered for the Stray Animal Round Up (SARU) program.

 

Copies of the 2010 Property Delinquent Tax List is available at the Mayor’s Office.  Stop by to pickup a copy or call for any assistance.

 

Vandalism and other criminal acts in our community must be reported immediately to the Guam Police Department.  Residents must secure their valuables at all times.

 

The Inarajan Senior Center are encouraging citizens age 55 and over to register and take advantage of the benefits offered under the Senior Citizens Program and Hosting Centers.  Call 828-8640 for more information.

 

Residents must reserve chairs two (2) weeks in advance.  Death(s) in the community, mayors civic/community functions municipal municipal activities take precedence over private party reservations.  The individual requesting or receiving logistics, is held responsible for the security and accountability of borrowed items.   

 

Unwanted pets or captured stray animals may be dropped off at the Mayor’s Office for proper disposition.
